Type description

One-celled ascospores, elliptical, with a protruding apical pore and truncated at the opposite pole. Usually covered by a hyaline veil that can be projected forming a tail. Wall thick and smooth. Differs from Cercophora-type by its more globose shape. Ca. 30 x 20 μm.
