Type description

Kuhry (1988): Leaves ovatelanceolate, sometimes slightly falcate, slightly concave, ecostate. Leaves with regular pattern of alternating green and hyaline cells reinforced with spiral fibers. Green cells more exposed on dorsal surface. Pores small, less than 12 µm.
