Type description

van Geel 1978: Probably of animal origin, +/- globose, 55-75 μm in diameter, with reticulate surface consisting of single rows of about 1-1.5 μm high spines, 1.5-2 μm apart, meshes of the reticulum 5-10μm wide. Often only fragments found. Complete Type 70 microfossils always showing a long furrow.
