Type description

Van Geel 1978: Globose, often somewhat flattened, 35-40 μm in diameter, with about six fine grooves over the whole surface, 5-7 μm apart. Shorter, irregularly arranged, sometimes anastomosing grooves at the poles. Often containing a group of clustered globules, each about 5 μm in diameter.
