Type description

Van Geel et al. 1981: For the identification of fossil catkin scales of Betula species, the study of Białobrzeska and Truchanowiczówna (1960) was used. We are not absolutely sure of our identifications (not which were based on measurements, but only on their shape and size). We refer to the above-mentioned study for the morphological characterisation of the species.
