Type description

Van Geel et al. 1981: Colonies of thin-walled fungal (?) cells. Diameter of the cells ca. 2 X 2 μm. Diameter of the colonies very variable, 30-60 X 20-35 μm. van Geel et al (1983b): Van Geel et al. (1981) mentioned 60 µm as maximum diameter for these colonies of cells. In the present study colonies up to 185 µm in diameter were observed.
