Type description

Van Geel et al. 1981: Zygospore square, 51 X 47 μm (only a single observation), laterally concave. The broad ends of the retuse angles about 10 μm in diameter. Depression in the centre of the angles about 2 μm in diameter. The hyaline surface layer of the zygospore wall with a characteristic, irregular pattern of ridges.
