Type description

Van Geel et al. 1989: Globose microfossils, greatest diameter 26.0-69.0 μm, inclusive of a reticulum formed by a very thin, undulating velum. Muri of the reticulum 2.0-5.0 (8.0) μm high and about 3.0 μm wide at the base; meshes of the reticulum 4.0-7.0 μm wide. A spongy structure lies between wall and velum, especially inside the muri.
