Type description

van Geel 1978: ascospores one-septate, 27-36 x 9-11 μm. At both ends the wall becomes very thin and forms a pore of about 0.5 μm in diameter (or sometimes more). One cell slightly broader than the other. Groups of eight (2 x 4) spores were repeatedly found in the position of the (non-fossilised) asci.
