Type description

Pals et al. 1980: cocoons elliptic, bilaterally symmetric, 0.90-1.14 mm long, 0.48-0.66 mm wide and 0.34-0.44 mm thick (ten measurements of dry specimens). "Ventral" side flat to slightly concave, lustrous. "Dorsal" side convex, with 8-9 longitudinal ridges bearing protruding membranous rims. Ridges confluent towards "base" and ending at the "top" around a circular pore. Surface between the longitudinal ridges with irregular and less pronounced transverse ribs.
