Type description

Van Geel et al 2011: Ascospores ellipsoidal, 29–34×19–21 μm, 2-septate, with hyaline outer wall and inner dark brown wall.
Gelorini et al 2011: Ascospores ellipsoid to fusiform, unequally and symmetrically 3-celled, dark brown, 30–32(52)×15–19(22) μm, smooth, thick-walled, surrounded by a hyaline sheath, central cell larger (22–24(48)×15–19(22) μm) than end cells (4×8 μm), which are paler and conical to tapering.
