Type description

Gelorini et al 2011: Coenobia circular, pale yellow, diameter 50–83 μm, comprised of 16–32 tightly packed cells. Peripheral cells with two triangular lobes flanking a wide V-shaped concave margin, processes very short cylindrical and hyaline, cell wall regularly granular. Peripheral and inner cells resp. 12 and 8 μm.
