Type description

Van Geel et al 1976: Zygospores (or possibly aplanospores) oblately spheroidal, measuring 36-44 X 29-36 µm in diameter. Small pits, 1.2-2 µm deep and 1.2-4 µm in diameter, were observed over the whole surface of the spores, at a distance of 1.5-3 µm from one another.
