Type description
van Geel 1978: fruit-bodies applanate, 120-250 µm in diameter. Margin irregular. Wall of the covering membrane appearing reticulate, consisting of 1.5-2.5 µm wide isodiametric cells. Epidermis cells and stomata of the host plant often impressed in this membrane. One or two ostioles 5-10 µm in diameter. Some specimens with a second layer of irregularly arranged, 2-4 µm wide cells. Sometimes several confluent fruitbodies aggregated in up to 1000 µm long clusters.
