Type description

van Geel 1978: Fruit-bodies applanate, 65-125 µm in diameter, darkly pigmented, with one or two openings. Wall composed of numerous radiating files of regular rectangular cells, 2-5 × 1.5-3.0 µm. Cells around the ostiole dark, thickwalled, 1.5-2.0 µm wide hyphae often arising from the dark central cells. No basal layer observed.
