Type description

van Geel 1978: Fruit-bodies 40-122 µm in diameter, darkly pigmented. Wall of covering membrane composed of radiating files of subquadratic cells, 4-7 µm wide at the margin, and narrower at the centre. With a prominent ostiole up to 25 µm long and 6-8 µm wide surrounded by 6-8 hyphae about 2 µm wide. Basal plate with a radiate structure.
