Type description
Van Geel 1978: Fruit-bodies smooth and circular in outline, mostly 15-20(38) µm in diameter. The upper wall convex, made up of radiating files of subquadratic cells, about 2 µm wide at the margin and narrower at the centre. With one or two short, broken hyphae emerging from the central area. Radially structured basal plate without openings.
