Type description
van Geel 1978: Spores ellipsoidal, one-septate, 39-44 X 14-18 μm, with very characteristic, coarsely textured walls (especially near the septum). Some of the spores with a single protruding, subapical germ pore or hilum about 1.5 μm wide.
