Type description

Bakker et al. 1982: ellipsoid to globose microfossils, c. 30-45 micron. A usually narrow fissure of more than half the length of the cell renders the cell sometimes boatshaped. Type 719A and 719B both have a surface covered by numerous, 0.5-1 micron, sometimes up to 2.5 micron high granules arranged in a more or less regular pattern.
