Type description
Bakker et al. 1982: Globose microfossils, 18-31 micron in diameter including the 3-4 micron long echinate protuberances; cell wall bright yellow and resembling sporopollenin. One specimen found with an indistinct trilete scar. Sometimes forms occur with the tips of the protuberances bent.
