Type description

Bakker et al. 1982: Cysts of Dinophyceae, cyst-family Exosphaeridiaceae, of ellipsoid shape, 40-65 x 40-50 micron, including the c. 5-10 micron long processes with bifurcated tip. Surface often folded and with an indistinct aperture.
