Type description

Bakker et al. 1982: Globose microfossil, c. 10-25 micron in diameter incl. of the 1-2.5 micron long spines with interconnecting ridges on the surface, rendering the latter reticulate. The smaller spines are interconnected by inconspicuous "muri".
