Type description

Bakker et al. 1982: Globose microfossil, c. 10-20 micron in diameter incl. of the c. 1-1.5 micron high spines, which cover the surface in an irregular pattern. The smaller spines, ten to fifteen on one hemisphere, are more numerous than the larger ones.
