Type description
Van Geel 1978: Elongated microfossils with indented ends, 51-65 X 25-28 μm. Protuberances of about 0.3 μm in diameter and about 1 μm apart, evenly distributed over the hyaline surface.
Van Geel et al. 1981: Zygospores (39-)42-63 X (17-)26-34(-43) μm with intended ends up to 14 μm long. Often a longitudinal furrow visible (Plate II, 60.b).
