Type description

van Geel 1978: Ascospores ellipsoidal, non-septate, brown, 22-28 X 15-18 μm with two protruding apical pores, about 1 μm wide, with about 16 fine, longitudinal grooves (the exact number is difficult to observe because of the thick spore wall; some of the grooves do not extend over the whole spore length).
