Type description

Van Geel et al. 1981: Algal(?) spores, spheroidal, 70-90 μm in diameter, often ruptured along an equatorial suture. Inner wall greenish yellow, smooth. Outer wall hyaline with small ellipsoidal pits, 1.5-2.5 μm in diameter and 1-4 μm apart. Outer wall not attached to the inner wall.
