Type description

Van Geel et al. 1981: Fungal spores, 5-6 septate, 19-22 X 46-56 μm, at one apex ending in a tube, or broken off beyond characteristic thickenings. The other end thinwalled or open, but with a characteristic thickening. The granular septa often becoming detached from the wall or hardly visible.
