Type description

Van Geel et al. 1989: Globose to ellipsoidal microfossils, 55-72 μm in diameter, exclusive of the 3.0-5.5 μm long and ca. 1.0 μm wide appendages on the ca. 1 μm thick wall. Bases of appendages at ca. 2 μm distance, but often some parts of the microfossil show greater distances between appendages.
