Type description
van Geel 1978: spores almost cylindrical, (1)3(4) septate, slightly constricted at the septa, (26)32-56(64) x (4)5-6(7) μm. A small pore present in the centre of each septum. One end cell rather attenuate and conical; the other shorter and more rounded. Morphologically Type 23 is not well differentiated. The number of septa is rather variable, but the variability was rather similar in different horizons.
