Type description

Van Geel et al. 1989: Depressed globose, hyaline microfossil, 36-45 μm in diameter, with a 1.5-2.5 μm wide central pore at one side. Around that pore two concentric rings (diameters 7-10 μm and 23-28 μm), formed by irregularly inserted processes. The surface, the central parts excepted, beset with 40-49 rows formed by radially arranged processes ca. 0.3 μm in diameter. No "epispore" (cf. HdV 187B).
