Type description

Van Geel et al. 1989: Depressed globose microfossil, hyaline, 47.5-60.0 μm in diameter, with a 2.0-2.5 μm wide central pore at one side. Around the pore a ring (diameter 8-10.5 μm) formed by irregularly oriented processes. Processes all over the surface bearing a hyaline "epispore" 2(5) μm distant from the spore wall. In some specimens radially oriented processes visible below the epispore ( cf. HdV 187C).
Kuhry 1997 [mistake in numbering, picture belong to HdV-187B, number wrongly to HdV-189B]: Globose microfossils with a central pore at one side. Surface with processes carrying an outer hyaline layer.
