Type description
van Geel 1978: ascospores curved, 44-50 x 8-10 μm, three-septate, constricted at the middle septum, middle cells darker than the end cells. Groups of eight (2 x 4) spores were repeatedly found in close proximity, in the position they held in the (non-fossilised) ascus.
