Type description
van Geel 1978: Spores three-septate, slightly curved, 34-40 x 13-15 micron, exclusive of the (0.5)2-3(5) micron thick fimbriate surface sculpture; constricted at the middle septum. Probably ascospores. Apart from the epispore and the fimbriate sculpture, the 16A and 16B spores are very similar. Conceivably, the veil of the 16A spores may turn into the fimbriate sculpture of 16B after corrosion.
