Type description

Van Geel et al 2011: Ascospores biseptate, fusiform, 32–49×18–25 μm, both ends truncate with a germ pore. Surface often with dark brown anastomosing ribs.
Gelorini et al 2011: Ascospores broadly fusiform, equilaterally one-celled, pale brown to dark brown, 34–45×24–30 μm, with thick anastomosing ribs that are often broadly reticulate, very thick-walled; tapering ends with pores.
