Type description
Bakker et al. 1982: Elongated, asymmetrical, convex ascospore, 19-26 x 7-10 micron, pseudoseptate 7-10 micron from truncate end; the latter 4-5 micron wide, with a central pore 0.3 micron in diameter, and often attached to a gelatinous cauda. The other end acute with a subapical pore of c. 0.5-1 micron in diameter in the most convex side. This sub-Type 112A includes a form lacking a pseudoseptum.
