Type description

Bean-shaped, 19× 6 μm, greyish brown, psilate. Similar to EMA-17 (see above) and TYPE 118 (Pals et al., 1980; size: 14.5–17×5–7 μm) but larger. TYPE 118 features a prominent germslit, EMA-24 has only a short (6 μm) and inconspicuous germ slit: Prager et al 2006

slightly different morphology as EMA-64; it might be reasonable to merge these types to one morphotype: Barthelmes et al 2012.
