Type description
Cook 2009: A4 is a very dark brown (almost opaque) monoseptate ascospore, 14–16×32–34 μm exclusive of the 1–1.5 μm long very fine hairs on the surface. Most often one cell is smaller than the other. The spore is inaperaturate. Cook et al 2011: a very dark brown (almost opaque) monoseptate ascospore, 14–16 x 32–34 micron exclusive of the 1–1.5 mm long very fine hairs on the surface.
